Graduated in Social Communication, with emphasis on Journalism, at Federal University of Minas Gerais – Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), in 2016. Now, she studies Advertising at the same institution. She attended Social Communication at the University of Algarve, in Portugal, from 2015 to 2016, during which time she wrote for “Mundo Contemporâneo”, the University virtual magazine. Her final paper while studing Journalism was about media and gender. Currently, she is writing her second final paper, this time while studing Advertising, about the promotion of mental health in the University. She has worked in the main print media of Minas Gerais – The newspapers “O Tempo”, “Hoje em Dia” and “Estado de Minas” – and also at “Rádio UFMG Educativa”, the University’s radio. She participates as an intern of the project “Rádio Terceiro Andar”, Third Floor Radio, under the guidance of Professor Sônia Pessoa. She has technical training in administration.

Currently, she is working on the project “New dynamics of Organizational Communication: analysis of interactions between organizations and public in digital contexts” with Professor Camila Mantovani.

She is engaged on the research “Deficiency in online social networks: tensions between respect and prejudice”, under the supervision of Professor Sônia Pessoa.

Journalism undergraduate student at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and part of Group of Studies on Media and Public Sphere – Grupo de Pesquisa em Mídia e Esfera Pública (EME), with research about non-electoral political representation, emphasis on social movements and who speaks on whose behalf. He is advised by Professor Regiane Lucas.

She is currently a Master’s student in the Graduate Program in Social Communication at UFMG. She holds a degree in Visual Arts from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (2011). She has been working as a photographer and visual artist for six years. She has experience with distance learning tutoring and video / film production. She was a Fellow of the Advertising Atelier of FAFICH-UFMG and served on the team responsible for reformulating the graphic design of the “Manuelzão” project magazine in 2008.
Estudante com deficiência cognitiva e paralelismo leve devida à doença congênita chamada Variante de Dandy Walker. Fez licenciatura do curso de Letras da UFMG, desde 2013. Trabalhou no programa Escola Integrada, de 2011 a 2015, ministrando oficinas de apoio pedagógico. Participou, em 2016, da organização do IX Ciclo de Debates, Oficinas e Mostra de Trabalhos Sobre Educação Inclusiva e Necessidades Educacionais Especiais, da UFMG. Em 2017, organizou e participou da mesa redonda do primeiro ‘Debate Pela Inclusão’, da UFMG, com o apoio do Diretório Acadêmico da Letras e do NAI. Atualmente, se dedica ao projeto “Eu existo e me movo: experiências e mobilidade de pessoas com deficiência”, do Afetos. Juliana também atua na organização e divulgação do projeto UFMG Para Todos, criado em 2018, para promover o debate sobre diversidade e inclusão, assim como a troca de experiências. Ela é, ainda, voluntária auxiliar de coordenação pedagógica, da Associação Comunitária Pré-Vestibular Vila Maçola, no bairro Serra.
